Drug development and clinical trials in the pediatric population can present specific challenges - both real and perceived. Using examples predominantly from the pediatric oncology field, we will review these areas and how they can be addressed through careful study design and implementation.

Participants will gain an understanding of the particular aspects of drug development that need to be considered when working in the pediatric field
Participants will understand some of the challenges in pediatric drug development
Participants will be familiar with some of the ethical and regulatory aspects that relate to pediatric clinical trials
