Discovery bioanalysis laboratories are tasked with providing critical data that inform go/no-go decisions in support of multiple programs, and see candidates that span a broad physico-chemical space. These laboratories are under increasing pressure to deliver high-throughput, high-quality results, consistently. During method development, scientists must balance cleanliness, speed, and cost when selecting a standardized workflow that will work across a diverse set of analytes. The need for a broadly applicable end-to-end workflow that includes a generic sample clean-up, fast chromatography and a robust MS platform are key to success. Additionally, having robust analytical platforms that minimize the need for clean-up and maintenance can significantly improve productivity and operational efficiency.
Using Oasis PRiME HLB SPE, a prototype ultrashort chromatographic column and a robust LC-MS platform, we describe an optimized workflow, from sample prep all the way through to LC-MS and data processing to streamline routine operations in a discovery bioanalysis laboratory.
