Description: Drug metabolism and phamacokenetics (DMPK) studies play important role in drug discovery. Utalizing DMPK assays at early stage (hit to lead, lead to candidate, and IND filing stages ) is critical to move drug candidates to clinical trials. At the hit to lead stage, high throughput ADME assays can screen thousands of chemicals and select final 10-20 relative stable and less drug and drug interation leads, with the combination of the efficacy data, can move leads to the next stage for further development. The session will talk about how to use ADME assays at different stages to select and nominate final candidates to the clinical trials.
