Dr. Valvanera Vozmediano is Senior Director of Model-Informed Drug Development at CTI and Courtesy Faculty at the Center for Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology (CPSP), University of Florida. She previously served as Assistant Professor at CPSP and held leadership roles at Dynakin, including Director of R&D and Principal Consultant. She earned her B.S. in Pharmacy and Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of the Basque Country, Spain. Her doctoral research, conducted at Dynakin, focused on developing one of the first regulatory-compliant pediatric plans for a new H1 antihistamine using advanced modeling and simulation. Dr. Vozmediano completed a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Florida under Prof. Hartmut Derendorf. With over 50 peer-reviewed publications, her work centers on applying quantitative methods to support regulatory and scientific decision-making in drug development. She has led projects spanning FIH, Phase I/II, PIPs, and global regulatory submissions. Her research explores the impact of growth, aging, and disease on PK/PD and treatment response. She contributes to doctoral courses at the University of Florida and the Florida Winter School.
