Dr. Tian, BEng (Honour), MSc, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Pharmaceutical Engineering at Queen's University Belfast and a Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Fellow (2019/20). He has completed his bachelor's in Macromolecular Materials and Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, MSc in Process Engineering, and PhD in Pharmaceutics.
Currently, Dr Tian is leading a global partnership and collaboration to address critical shortages of essential antifungal nanomedicines through advanced process engineering. He has secured external funding as Principal Investigator (> £1M) and as Co-Investigator (> £3M) from highly competitive sources, i.e., UKRI, leading charities, and Innovate UK. The Medical Research Council (MRC) has awarded the current collaborative project to develop transformational advanced manufacturing technology for the sustainable production and supply of antifungal nanomedicines (PI, MR/X014010/1).
