Dr. Karan Agrawal is a Principal Scientist in the Bioanalytical Discovery and Development Sciences team within the Preclinical Sciences and Translational Safety organization at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Spring House, Pennsylvania. In this role, Karan focuses on the development and application of LC-MS bioanalytical assays for the quantitative assessment of large and small molecule biomarkers and drug candidates, focusing on novel modalities. Dr. Agrawal also drives innovation at J&J, evaluating new analytical technologies and sample preparation approaches to help answer challenging biological questions.
Prior to joining J&J, Karan was a Staff Scientist at Labcorp Drug Development in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he conducted bioanalytical method development and validation for small and large molecule analytes by LC-MS/MS. Dr. Agrawal earned a B.A. in Chemistry and Molecular Biology from Cornell University, an M.Sc. in Forensic Science from King’s College London, and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of California-Davis.
