Polymer Scientist
Cannon Instrument Company
State College, Pennsylvania
Dr. David Trowbridge is an Applications Scientist at the Cannon Instrument Company and received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Polymer Science at the University of Akron. His research has included the characterization of polymers by dilute solution viscosity, laser light scattering, size exclusion chromatography, field flow fractionation, and rheology. Dr. Trowbridge also collaborated with corporate sponsors of the University of Akron's Institute of Polymer Science. At the Institute’s Applied Research Group, Dr. Trowbridge consulted on projects dealing with physical testing, failure analysis, processing, and molecular characterization. Before joining Cannon Instrument Company in 2004, Dr. Trowbridge conducted polymer research for 17 years at the Corporate Research Center and the Chemical Division of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company with a focus on the characterization of new and production polymers.
