Dr. Yakkala Prasanna Anjaneyulu is a medicinal chemist with expertise in structure and ligand-based drug design, cancer drug discovery, and plant metabolomics. I earned his B.Pharmacy from CHIPS College, an M.S. in Medicinal Chemistry from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER-A), Ahmedabad, and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. My doctoral research focused on targeting cancer-related pathways, including PI3K, tankyrase, and Wnt signaling through the design of novel N-heterocyclic conjugates, evaluatedusing molecular modeling, in vitro, and in vivo studies.
I have authored more than 19 publications in high-impact journals and have presented my research internationally. I received a DST-BRICS travel grant to conduct collaborative research at the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. I also gained industry experience as a Senior Research Scientist in the Drug Discovery at PI Industries Ltd., Udaipur, India.
Currently, I am working as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at The Ohio State University, where my research is focused on the synthesis and characterization of iron chlorophyll derivatives for human and animal studies. I also serve as Vice Chair of the AAPS PharmSci 360 Track, contributing to the scientific community through leadership and peer review.
