Elizabeth Dodson, PhD is the Bioanalytical Director of Laboratory Operations and Site Leader at the Indianapolis, IN site of IQVIA Laboratories. She leads a multidisciplinary team of >50 people in support pre-clinical and clinical bioanalysis. The technology at the Indy labs spans from Ligand Binding Assays to Small Molecule analysis using LC-MS/MS and HRMS capabilities. Elizabeth received her SB in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and her PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular, and Cell Biology from Cornell University. She completed her post-Doc and entered the pharmaceutical world of therapeutic target discovery and validation at Merck Research Labs in West Point, PA. During her time at Merck, she studied targets in viral proteases (HIV-1, HIV-2, CMV, RSV, HSV), Alzheimer’s Disease, and neurodegeneration. For the past 18 years, she has worked in bioanalysis at Becton Dickinson and Thermo Fisher Scientific, with a focus on cell culture media and supplementation. Elizabeth currently has 18 peer reviewed publications, 1 book chapter, and 7 granted patents.
