Rama Prajapati did bachelor in Pharmacy from Kathmandu University, Nepal with gold medal. Then she obtained Danish Government Scholarship to do Master in Pharmaceutical sciences from University of Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2018, she got Marie-Curie co-funded Lacaixa fellowship to do PhD. in Pharmacy at IMDEA Nanociencia, Spain. Under the supervision of Dr. Alvaro Somoza, she focused on formulation and characterization of albumin-based nanocarriers for the delivery of chemotherapeutics and nucleic acids in various cancers, including breast, pancreatic and cervical cancers. In 2024, she joined University of Connecticut as a Research Associate, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Xiuling Lu, and focused on the use of mesoporous silica nanoparticles with radionuclides for the treatment of peritoneal cancers.
