Dr. Chakka has expertise in diverse fields of Nanotechnology including oganoids, cell spheroids, gene delivery, theranostics, drug delivery, AI/ML, and tissue engineering. He has more than ten years of research experience in Nanomaterials, drug delivery, non-viral gene delivery, and bone & cartilage tissue engineering. He published 38 peer-reviewed research publications in high-impact journals. In the last five years, he worked on developing 3D printed and non-viral gene delivery loaded 3D printed scaffolds for dental, bone, and cartilage tissue engineering. He published around six peer-reviewed publications as the first author and another nine research publications as the second author in the last five years. He is currently working as a Principal Scientist in PharmE3D Lab, College of Pharmacy, at The University of Mississippi. Dr. Chakka has published 38 peer-reviewed international publications with 1450 citations and h-index of 17, co-authored 2 books, 1 editorial, and has 6 patents.
