Senior Scientist/ BA Principal Investigator
Moderna Therapeutics
Norwood, Massachusetts
I’m a molecular biologist with 17 years of academic and industry research experience. I received my Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Kumamoto University in Japan and completed postdoctoral training in oncology at U.S. institutions, where I studied the impact of impaired ribosome biogenesis on lymphoma progression. My expertise includes small molecules, antisense oligonucleotides, CRISPR gene editing, and mRNA therapeutics, and I’ve published in peer-reviewed journals. I was also active in the AAPS mRNA PK working group and co-authored its mRNA PK white paper. I currently serve as a Molecular Assays Lead Scientist and Bioanalytical Assay Principal Investigator at Moderna, where I develop and validate RT-qPCR and next-generation sequencing (NGS) assays to support clinical studies of mRNA–LNP therapeutics.
