Dr. Hebatollah Ewida is a passionate scientist and educator who focuses on how changes in metabolism contribute to diseases like obesity, cancer, and neurological disorders. She currently works as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she studies new ways to treat these conditions using small molecules and targeted therapies.
Dr. Ewida earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Cairo University and has held teaching and research roles both in Egypt and the United States. She has taught biochemistry, chemistry, and molecular biology to students at various levels, helping them learn and grow through hands-on research and mentorship.
With over 25 published articles and book chapters, her work has been recognized with several awards for both research and teaching. She’s also contributed to patents for new therapies and regularly presents her research at national and international conferences.
Beyond the lab, Dr. Ewida is committed to shaping the future of science through teaching, mentorship, and global collaboration in pharmaceutical research.
