Dr. Saptarshi Mandal is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Texas A&M University, USA, specializing in bioconjugation, bioanalytical chemistry, and nanoformulation for targeted drug delivery. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Patna in 2022, where his research focused on the design of smart nanomaterials that include photoactivated charge transfer, drug delivery, and sensing applications.
Before joining Texas A&M, Dr. Mandal worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Kentucky, developing immunomodulatory nanomaterials for musculoskeletal models. His broader research interests span analytical science, sustainable and circular chemistry, bio-nanotechnology, and the integration of artificial intelligence therein.
Dr. Mandal has authored over 25 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals such as Nanoscale, PCCP, Environmental Science: Nano, and Applied Materials Today. He has also served as a reviewer for leading international journals, including Food Chemistry, Sensors and Actuators B, and RSC Advances.
He is a recipient of several prestigious recognitions, including the Newton Bhabha PhD Placement Award (UKāIndia) and the Institute Research Fellowship from the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
