Graduate Teaching Assistant/PhD Student
Duquesne University
Sanjida is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design at Duquesne University (since 2023) under the mentorship of Dr. Jelena M. Janjic. Her work focuses on applying a Quality by Design (QbD) framework to the development of advanced nanosystems including microemulsions, nanoemulsions and hydrogels targeted at managing inflammatory skin conditions (such as psoriasis) and preventing organ transplant rejection. In her current role as a Graduate Research Assistant, she is responsible for experimental design, nanosystem formulation and characterization (including particle size/distribution, rheology, and release kinetics), and the application of QbD principles to optimize formulation performance and ensure robust manufacturing scalability.
