Dr. Yonni E. Apeji is a Professor of Pharmaceutics at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. He holds a PhD in pharmaceutics from the same university and currently teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students at the institution. His research specialises in excipient development and particle engineering to improve the functionality and performance of both drugs and excipients. In 2024, Dr Apeji was a visiting scholar under the Fulbright fellowship at the College of Pharmacy, University of Minnesota, where he conducted research in the development of cocrystals. Dr Apeji is a recipient of several awards and fellowships, including the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship award in 2024. He has published quite a number of research articles in reputable journals and continues to conduct research to address the underlying problems of formulation development.
