Dr. Dong has received a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Kentucky. Prior to her current position, she has worked as a lead formulator for drug development at Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation for four years. After she joined the University of North Texas Health Science Center, she discovered in situ self-assembly nanoparticles. Very recently, she discovered binary lipid systems, representing a novel oral formulation technology. In-vitro cell study and in-vivo animal studies including efficacy, pharmacokinetics and tissue distribution are essential in her lab. In addition to formulation and drug delivery, she has established expertise in bioanalysis, pharmacokinetics and biodistribution.
