Ms. Preeya Negi is currently pursuing her Ph.D. (Tech.) in Pharmaceutics at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, under the guidance of Prof. Vandana Bharat Patravale. She is a DST-INSPIRE Junior Research Fellow, with her doctoral research focusing on the development of a cocrystal formulation of a repurposed drug for Alzheimer’s disease. Her academic and research journey reflects a consistent pursuit of excellence, innovation, and
interdisciplinary collaboration in pharmaceutical sciences.
She obtained her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in 2021 from Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, securing a CGPA of 9.15. Building on this foundation, she pursued her Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, Tamil Nadu, graduating with distinction (9.57 CGPA) and earning the Gold Medal for academic excellence.
Preeya’s professional experience includes serving as a Project Research Associate at ICT Mumbai (2023–2024), gaining significant exposure to advanced drug delivery systems and pharmaceutical formulation development.
She has published 15 peer-reviewed articles in reputed SCI-indexed journals. Her interdisciplinary approach merges in silico, in vitro, and formulation techniques to accelerate drug discovery and therapeutic innovation. She contributed to book chapters with CRC Press and Academic Press.
Preeya is also a patent holder, with a design patent titled “Minitome” (Indian Patent 366100-001, awarded January 2024), showcasing her innovative capabilities beyond conventional pharmaceutical sciences.
She is a recipient of the prestigious DST-INSPIRE Fellowship for Ph.D. research (2024), the Tata Trust Scholarship (2023), and conference accolades, including 1st prize in poster presentation at PharmaNEST’3.E International Conference (2022) and 3rd prize at the International Workshop on Toxicology, Chitkara University (2020).
Through her research, publications, and academic engagement, Preeya continues to build a career that integrates pharmaceutical innovation, computational sciences, and clinical relevance, with the long-term goal of contributing significantly to drug development and sustainable healthcare solutions.
