My name is Amir Mohammad Gholizadeh is a Ph.D. candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, conducting my research under the mentorship of Dr. Diana M. Chow and co-advisor Dr. Chun Li at MD Anderson Cancer Center. My work focuses on the synthesis, characterization, and pharmacokinetic evaluation of a novel rhenium tricarbonyl phenformin complex (Re-Phenformin) for the treatment of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). My research integrates bioanalytical method validation using LC-MS/MS with advanced PK/PD modeling to explore the therapeutic and mechanistic potential of metal-based anticancer agents.
