Ashwin Abhang is a Ph.D. student in Dr. Diane Burgess’s lab at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, USA. His research focuses on developing long-acting formulations to improve women’s health and address other therapeutic areas. Previously, he worked for over four years as a formulation scientist in preclinical and clinical drug product development at the Bristol Myers Squibb–Biocon Research Center and Cipla Ltd. His research interests include long-acting formulations (implants, depots, and injectables), oral drug delivery systems, and lipid and polymeric nanoparticules.
