Dr. Mohammad Nasir Uddin is an Associate Professor at the College of Pharmacy, Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He earned his Master’s degree from Emory University and his Ph.D. from Mercer University.
Dr. Uddin’s research focuses on the development of small molecule drugs and vaccine formulations using polymeric nano- or microparticles in rapidly orally dissolving film-based drug delivery systems. His work also includes the development of novel vaccine adjuvants and strategies to combat antibiotic resistance by enhancing antibiotic efficacy through ionic-liquid-antibiotic complexes.
He has gained extensive experience in particulate vaccine formulation through his work at the Nanotechnology Laboratory at Mercer University and the Serology Department at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Dr. Uddin’s research has been recognized nationally and internationally at scientific conferences and academic institutions. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and delivered numerous presentations at both national and international forums.
Beyond academia, Dr. Uddin is an active community organizer. He played a key role in mobilizing the Bangladeshi community in Atlanta during the July 2024 movement in Bangladesh. He is the founder of Non-Resident Bangladeshi Solidarity (NRBS) [https://nrbsolidarity.com/], a global platform advocating for democracy, freedom of expression, and positive branding of Bangladesh.
