My overarching goal is to elucidate the mechanism of PEG-ASNase-induced HSC activation and hepatic fibrosis to inform the development of clinical strategies aimed at preventing PEG-ASNase-induced liver damage. These efforts hold the potential to improve survival rates for adult ALL patients. Additionally, to move forward with the translational studies, I am investigating the interplay between liver fibrosis and chemotherapy-induced hepatotoxicity, as well as exploring how leukemia contributes to the development of liver injury.
