Sam began his research career at Grove City College while studying Biochemistry. He then joined Carl Anderson's lab at Duquesne University to investigate process analytical technology (PAT), chemometric modeling, and continuous manufacturing. His dissertation included developments in lean chemometric models such as iterative optimization technology (IOT). Following the completion of his Ph.D., Sam joined SciY (formerly Optimal) to support sales and applications of synTQ, a PAT data management software, in the Americas.
