Anthony Kim is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. He then completed his postdoctoral training as an individual NIH National Research Service Award (NRSA) postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Anthony joined the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Medicine as a tenure-track assistant professor in May 2013. He is a recipient of several awards including the NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (F32) Individual Postdoctoral Fellowship (2011-2013), PhRMA Foundation Research Starter Grant in Pharmaceutics (2014), NIH K25 Career Development Award (2014-2017), American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) New Investigator Award (2015), AAPS/Genentech Innovation in Biotechnology Award (2015), NIH/NCI R37 Merit Award (2018), and Maryland Innovation Initiative Award (2019).
