Professional Information: Nithyadevi Duraisamy, PhD., Research Scientist, Department of College of Science, School of Engineering, Department of Digital Engineering, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Center of Dassault Systèmes - 3D experience laboratory, Long Island University, Brooklyn, New York, US.
I am a multidisciplinary scientist with over 5 years of wet lab and 2 years of Bioinformatics/In-Silico Computational tools (dry lab) experience, bridging computational modeling, molecular docking, and AI-driven bioinformatics with advanced cell culture and organ-on-chip platforms. She leads projects at Long Island University on predictive vaccine design, small-molecule-based targeted prostate cancer therapeutics, liver organ-on-chip models for drug metabolism, and flavonoid-based therapies for early-stage knee osteoarthritis. My prior work at UCONN Health focused on electrospun and 3D-printed biopolymers for targeted drug delivery and regenerative applications. I earned Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Materials Science from Bharathiar University, India, specializing in core–shell nanomaterials for breast cancer therapy. My skills are nanomaterial characterization, ADME/toxicity prediction, and translational research spanning in-silico, in-vitro, and in-vivo models.
